from the founders

The Paris Dauphine Incubator enabled us to move from the idea to the product. 

The structure opened the doors to an active and willing network of former graduates ready to help start-ups with a Dauphine DNA. 

Finally, the incubator played a major role in bringing us our first investor and others who followed. The team around Eric Kalfon and Cécile Bulle is top notch and allows entrepreneurs to have access to the necessary resources for the complicated task of launching.

of history

The two founders of Zenride met in 2012 during an academic exchange in Rio de Janeiro as part of their studies in Finance at the University of Paris-Dauphine. 

The congestion, pollution and noise generated by Rio’s road traffic often affected the two snow sports enthusiasts when they went to the city’s beaches.The same question often came up in their discussions: how to get around more efficiently in increasingly congested cities? 

The solution should be simple, fun and inexpensive for the user. At the time, nothing seemed to meet the criteria of the two budding entrepreneurs… The desire to work together on mobility remained unfulfilled until the autumn of 2017 and the emergence of the electric bicycle market. 

The two founders then set themselves the mission of transforming commuting, perceived as a constraint by employees, into a moment of pleasure with the electric bike: Zenride was born. 

Indeed, 75% of home-to-work journeys are less than 5km long. 

Although the electric bike is booming, it is still the fastest means of transport in the city, but it is not used enough in our journeys (1%). The main reason for this is the high purchase price 

Zenride gives all employees, regardless of their income, the opportunity to enjoy this means of transport and all its advantages. Indeed, we have chosen the B2B channel to allow the employer and the employee to share the rent and thus be competitive with the costs of public transport.
